Our FUR FAMILY
When lifelong cat lover and writer Ann (aka Meowmy) brought Ozzy and Boo home from the shelter in May of 2021, her family became complete again after the loss of sweet kitty Tigerlily the previous fall. The adorable and mischievous antics of these two furballs playing with her children (a toddler and two teens) inspired her to create fun and sassy poetry, memes, and videos to share…and Herding Kittens was born. Now Ann and her daughter are also creating art together (while Ozzy and Boo supervise) based on the founding principles of Herding Kittens: Peace, Love, and Pussycats!

Joining the community of cat lovers (and like-minded individuals) on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube has been life-changing! Ann had no idea that she would make such amazingly warm and gifted friends from all over the world. These friends have different backgrounds and opinions but share a love of cats and support one another. Their positivity, inclusivity, and charity inspire Herding Kittens every day, and Ann is eternally grateful for them. This poem written by Ann is an ode of love and thanks to all of her friends in the cat community who have taught her that love of cats truly conquers all!
